We are starting this trip with several stops to visit "old" friends. Dick and Margie Carleton from Merrill. OR have a beautiful little spot on the Rouge River, nestled in the Rouge River Wild and Scenic Natural Area. Some day we're going to take a ride in one of the local river trips down the Rouge. For now we're going to enjoy the view from Carleton's front yard and enjoy their hospitality.
They have several deer who come to eat regularly from the grain and water that's always available to them.

We traveled to Standish, CA and spent a quiet night there before moving to Lake Tahoe.
